Sometimes you'll find that many translations have nearly identical wording , but as you read through the listings , you may find a translation or two that God enables you to receive some new clarity and understanding that you were not enjoying up to that point.

To sum the above Scriptures up , in combination with how people choose to live compared to His Word ,  it can be described as being polar opposite. God has given us His Holy Spirit , His Holy Son Jesus , His Holy people and His Holy Word in order to instruct us into every pathway that includes and exalts His Wisdom , but people still consistently turn and go the other way.

When some person or nation is told to repent , they are being instructed in the ways of Wisdom so they can do a 180 degree turnaround , and immediately go away from any and all destructive directions , so they can walk in the ways of knowledge and wisdom that only God provides .

That is what it means to humble one self before God .

That's what it means to repent.

That's what it means to treasure God's knowledge and wisdom above our own . To exalt His ways above all of the the world's corrupted versions of knowledge and wisdom will disable the death that comes from this world ; and in turn it will make a pathway for life and eternal life.

 But be prepared , as you seek God's face then you will gain favor in His sight ; but you will also fall out of favor with this world. Look at what Jesus said that you can expect :

 " ... you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved."

I would like to urge every person and nation to thoroughly know what God has said in His Word , and to properly know the intentions that goes with His Words. Too many people have decided that their interpretation of His Words should prevail over what He said and what He meant by what He said - and that is dangerously wrong . So be careful ! 

I'll give an example of what I mean . Many are saying that if you hate a sinner's sins , then you are not walking in the love that God and Jesus taught.  What a horrendous error !!  God never tolerated sin .  Instead , He loved sinners enough to tell them to repent of their sins ; and Jesus told His Church to tell others that very same message. God NEVER said to be inclusive of those who prefer sin  ; but He did say to preach the message that people must repent of their sins.  Jesus died to save people from the penalty of death for their sins so they could live with God forever. God included sinners in His plans for eternity by sending His Son Jesus to die on the cross for those sins , so they could be cleansed of their guilt and become righteous in His sight. One CANNOT keep a grip on sin and have a Savior who saves from the penalty of sins . They are in contradiction !!

 Please listen to the instruction that comes from the Spirit of Wisdom :

Humble yourself . Get rid of your ways , and prefer His ways instead ; then you'll have life and honor before God and others ... forever !  

Remember , Church is not where you are or who you are with , but rather it is the the people who have received the cleansing of Jesus' blood for their sins so they can be eternally connected , by His Holy Spirit , to the Head of the Church , which is Jesus the Christ. As the Church abides in Christ Jesus  , and stays faithful and fruitful - even unto death - then His Church will be raised to eternal life. No other "church" will spend eternity with God . Only those who have exalted His Wisdom above their own will prevail over sin , death and this world. 

Make Jesus the Christ your way , today !!

Flowering trees , regardless of what type they are , truly bring a unique beauty to Spring that cannot be matched at other times of the year.  As with any season , Spring has a melding of other seasons that peaks in and out , but it prevails eventually.  :)

Psalm 5 ~ June 5 : Israel

 God bless you , readers , as you enjoy Psalm 5 from the Bible ; and some of Israel's history.

June 5th is the anniversary date of the famous Six Day War , where Israel gained territories for the sake of unification , religious freedom and security from those who surrounded her , especially with animosity.  From  June 5 - 10 , 1967 , Israel obtained the entire city of Jerusalem - which included the famous Western Wall ; the Gaza strip , the Sinai Peninsula , the so-called  "west bank" , and the Golan Heights.

Some of the above mentioned places remain within Israel's  jurisdiction , while some areas have been given over to others to control - with restrictions. The so-called "west bank" is a term the world has used to defy Israel's God given boundaries that He set for them , as mentioned in the Old Testament. The world wants all to remember that the eastern portion of Israel's God given land was actually the western portion of Jordan prior to the Six Day War. It is best for all to remember that God created the nation of Israel , and her boundaries - and that includes her one and only capital , Jerusalem.

By God's grace , what is critically within Israel's complete control is Jerusalem , the Western Wall and the Golan Heights.

Since Jerusalem and the Western Wall have become a part of the state of Israel , her people have enjoyed praying and worshiping freely , where they belong. The nation of Israel  faces annual risks from acts of violence and from those who want to remove her status as a Jewish state , but God has kept her so far. It is imperative that Christians and Jews keep their hearts , actions and prayers for Israel and the Jewish people.

Resurrection Sunday

 Welcome to BIBLE PAGES by Peridot Path !

Today is Resurrection Sunday .  If you are a believer , then God bless you today as you remember that eternal life awaits you because of your faith in His sacrifice for your sins that enabled your name to be put in His Book of Life .  :)  If you are missing a Christian , whom you have cared about  because they are already with the Lord , then just remember that you will see them again !  We may grieve for their loss from our lives , but we absolutely do not grieve like the world .

I Thessalonians 4 : 15 - 17

Today , as Christians celebrate the Resurrection Of Jesus ,  we need to let go of the world's ways and let His Holy  Spirit guide us , now more than ever.

 We must keep our wicks trimmed and burning for the Lord by focusing on Him , His Word and letting our light shine in this ever darkening and dangerous world. We cannot allow ourselves to be entangled with such things as the annual commercialization of Holy events , such as the Resurrection and Birth of Jesus .

It's truly past time for God's Church to have His priorities.

 When Jesus came out of His tomb and visited numerous people , He did not bring gifts of bunny rabbits , colorful candies , little chicks , new fashionable outfits , and an assortment of eggs that are colorfully decorated and designed ; but rather He brought His resurrected self , His love and His Father's love . That is what we've got to stay focused on !

For years , there's been one thing that has truly become a tragic connection between the holidays that "celebrate" the Birth of Jesus and His Resurrection , and that is the idea of putting children , gifts and fun . . . .AHEAD of God and good !  

The insidious goal of coercing adults into focusing on " What can be done for the children ? ", and all the while these same children do not know the Living God.  I'll tell you what can be done for the children : lead them to God through His Son , Jesus ; with the help of the Holy Spirit and His Bible ! 

  Since the Resurrection of Jesus has zero to do with anything associated with "Easter "  , the term "Easter Sunday" has got to go! There's no such thing in the Christian faith !! Even pastors of mega churches are using this erroneous term , even while they tout that they're a Bible believing and teaching church. We don't have time for this , literally. How can we reach the world with the truth if we won't let His Word prevail over such fictitious things as Easter , Easter bunnies and Santa's sleigh that's full of gifts every year.

Here's another brass tack :

How can you teach a child or a young person that the God of the Resurrection will raise them or their Christian loved one up from the grave to eternal life one day , when all they get exposed to are colorful treats and gifts ?!? The Church has to reach them with the truth before they get hit with grief .

Too many children and young people are being lost through death  all over this world. They need to know that there is a God who is greater than death !  He wants them loved and saved !

It's past time to teach them our faith ,,, so 

LOVE GOD FIRST ; 

THEN LOVE THE CHILDREN -- AND OUR YOUNG PEOPLE - - WITH THE TRUTH !

Honoring Our Heroes

This is the first post for 2022.

And today's date is April 2nd , which is the anniversary of the heavenly arrival of Pope John Paul II.

Today , I found an excellent public domain photo of the Pope sitting with President Ronald Reagan at the Fairbanks Alaska Airport , where they had a meeting. A White House photographer gave the world a very good picture of these two extraordinary leaders , on May 2 , 1984. These two men led the nations in a successful struggle against the powers of spiritual darkness , and the entities that fought for darkness , death and destructiveness - namely : Nazism and Communism.

It is a blessing from God for the good that these two men did to be shared here with you right now. Let us not forget the many warnings , and the steadfast efforts , that these two leaders gave in their lifetimes in order to build up a strong and steadfast resistance amongst the nations against any and all forms of evil .

Over the last number of decades , the world has seen what the works of hate can produce through such powers as Nazism and Communism . When war is raging , people remember its horrors , and how it got started ; but unfortunately , people are too quick to move on to other ways of thinking , remembering and teaching , and this can lead a country , or countries , down a very dangerous path of denials .This year alone , Russia has brought its violent hate to bear upon the sovereign nation of Ukraine , even to the point of committing astonishing crimes and sins. Russia has stunned the world with their brutality , but those with insight about the history of that region have said , many times over the years , that Russia could never be trusted . Various nations and leaders have gradually built up connections with Russia that they are now having to back peddle , and all because they did NOT learn the lessons from the Second World War . When the so called "experts" kept using  phrases that signified that the Cold War was over , they truly exemplified the core of the problem . Despite their "educational " degrees , their positions  within the political arena  or in the media , they kept on - and have kept on proving - how shallow they are in understanding the absolute fervent efforts that Communism will go to in order to get their people , and the peoples of other nations , under their incredibly tight control . And they do not care how long it takes to get the job done. 

People have rightly said that Ukraine's fight for Freedom is everyone's fight.

That is the 100 % TRUTH !!!

Never vote your freedoms away.

Never let your freedoms be taken away.

Never let your guard down with anything that has Communism attached to it.

PRAYER 

" May God bless and save those who are within any Communist country ( or who are being put under threat by one ) that have a heart for true freedom , life and peace , and especially of those who are of the Jewish or Christian faith.

God bless you , mightily !!! "

" And may God bless our heroes , and those people and places that need them . "

As a footnote, my Father , who was a USAF (Retired) Vet , worked his entire career for the defense of our country , and for that of our allies . He worked several years within NORAD; and he was at other locations where Communist Russia and China were being kept under the very watchful eye of the USA and our helpful allies .

He personally studied military history , Jewish history and Biblical prophecies , as well as other things. He was also a consistent voter. On his behalf , I want to state that you would do well to study the above topics and to stand up for your freedoms and rights - and that of others - always !
